History[]
The Ancients -before they knew of Ascension- discovered a structure in the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation. As this is a sign of intelligence long before any could exist, the Ancients decided to investigate. The Destiny was built, to explore the universe and gather data about the CMBR signal. Intending to man the ship once it was far enough out, the Ancients more or less abandoned the quest when Ascension came into the picture.
Specifications
The Destiny is powered by solar energy. This requires a process dubbed Stardiving. Destiny actually dives into a star, where collectors gather energy from the star. How this works is uncertain.
Destiny is equipped with numerous energy weapons and a powerful shield in order to defend itself. As it is millions of years old, Destiny is highly damaged and incapable of showing it's maximum potential.
